Da operatori del settore è importante che poniamo chiarezza sull’uso dell’intaso in gomma per campi da calcio in erba sintetica.
Introduzione
Di recente la comunità Europea, dopo un periodo investigativo, ha emanato una direttiva, cui i soli Stati Membri aderiscono, in riferimento all’applicazione di regole d’uso e divieti su ciò che è definito microplastiche.
Qui riportiamo il Testo di questo nuovo Regolamento nelle parti Salienti per il caso specifico dell’ intaso in gomma per erba sintetica.

REGOLAMENTO (UE) 2023/2055 DELLA COMMISSIONE del 25 settembre 2023

recante modifica dell’allegato XVII del regolamento (CE) n. 1907/2006 del Parlamento europeo e del Consiglio concernente la registrazione, la valutazione, l’autorizzazione e la restrizione delle sostanze chimiche (REACH) per quanto riguarda le microparticelle di polimeri sintetici. considerando quanto segue:

(1) La presenza diffusa di minuscoli frammenti di polimeri naturali chimicamente modificati o sintetici, insolubili in acqua, che si degradano molto lentamente e sono facilmente ingeribili da organismi viventi, desta preoccupazioni per il loro impatto generale sull’ambiente e, potenzialmente, sulla salute umana. Tali polimeri sono diffusi nell’ambiente e sono stati rinvenuti anche nell’acqua potabile e in alimenti. Essi si accumulano nell’ambiente e contribuiscono all’inquinamento da microplastica.

(2)Gran parte dell’inquinamento da microplastica si forma involontariamente, ad esempio a causa della frammentazione di pezzi più grandi di rifiuti di plastica, dell’usura degli pneumatici e della vernice stradale o del lavaggio di indumenti sintetici. Tuttavia minuscoli frammenti di polimeri naturali chimicamente modificati o sintetici sono altresì fabbricati per essere utilizzati come tali o aggiunti a prodotti.

(53) Per l’intaso granulare da utilizzare su superfici sportive sintetiche, la Commissione ritiene che l’aumento a otto anni del periodo transitorio per il divieto di immissione sul mercato sia giustificato al fine di assicurare che più superfici sportive sintetiche esistenti che utilizzano tale prodotto possano arrivare alla fine naturale della loro vita prima di dover essere sostituite.

j) a decorrere dal 17 ottobre 2031, all’intaso granulare da utilizzare su superfici sportive sintetiche.

Conclusioni FAQ :

1) cosa sancisce il nuovo Regolamento ?

Vietare nei soli Paesi Membri UE la vendita/acquisto e quindi di conseguenza il nuovo uso dell’intaso polimerico per erba sintetica.

2) da quando non si potrà più vendere/acquistare ed avere un nuovo uso dell’intaso in gomma?

Dal 17 ottobre 2031il produttore o rivenditore è tenuto a comunicare sulle offerte che, la vendita di materiale polimerico granulare se inferiore ai 5 mm di granulometria NON può essere utilizzato per applicazioni come sfuso nei manufatti o prodotti finiti per la vendita sul Mercato all’Interno degli Stati Membri della comunità Europea.

3) Se acquisto intaso in gomma prima della data del 17 ottobre 2031 , posso continuare ad utilizzarla per il mio campo in erba sintetica fino al suo fine vita?
Si. Si può continuare ad utilizzarla fino al fine vita del campo in erba sintetica e quindi per un campo da calcio ad 11 ad esempio fino ad anche il 2043.
